Practice Technologies, Inc. is very pleased to announce that the law firm of DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary is adopting the RealPractice Suite to help its attorneys retrieve on-point work product from internal and external stores. The firm finalized the selection of RealPractice after a shorter than anticipated pilot, which determined that no further product deliberation was necessary.
“Acceptance by a firm like DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary is a great compliment, and further testimony to the viability of our Work Product Retrieval model for helping firms large and small manage their intellectual capital,” said Rudolph DeFelice, president and chief executive officer of Practice Technologies, Inc. “The wealth of expertise that DLA can draw on from its internal resources is staggering. RealPractice will give their practitioners an easy to use tool for harnessing this information in a manner consistent with their drafting objectives.”
“We explored a number of options in the Knowledge Management arena, as we recognized the need to capitalize on the breadth of our combined expertise after the formation of the new firm,” said Browning E. Marean III, a partner in the DLA Piper’s San Diego office. “When our technology committee first reviewed the RealPractice Suite, it seemed to complement the way our attorneys think about searching for work product; that is, they have an objective in mind, and then want to find a document that helps them meet that objective. During the pilot, when the application was shared amongst a broader assembly of practitioners, the verdict for RealPractice was nearly unanimous. It searches and retrieves the way we think.”
