Venice, California, July 5, 2005

Practice Technologies, Inc. announced today that it has formed an alliance with the legal technology and knowledge management consulting firm of Prism Legal. Under the alliance, Prism will assist law firms in the evaluation and implementation of Practice Technologies’ leading Work Product Retrieval solution, RealPractice™.

“I have been very impressed with Prism’s understanding of the nuances of knowledge management, and how this specialty area fits into a law firm’s larger information management goals,” said Peter Ozolin, Vice President of Enterprise Solutions with Practice Technologies. “Ron Friedmann, Prism’s founder, has a background working with large firms and understands the KM challenges they face. Having also worked on software development in the legal market, Ron has a strong sense of how an application like RealPractice complements the firm’s KM initiatives.”

“In a field where many old ideas are constantly repackaged as something new, Practice Technologies has created an approach that’s truly different,” said Ron Friedmann, the principal of Prism Legal. “They recognize the problem that law firms face in getting at meaningful work product quickly, and they’ve developed a solution that’s consistent with how attorneys think about work product retrieval.”

The RealPractice Work Product Retrieval system is built around a legal-specific categorization and analysis engine that understands legal documents from a lawyer’s perspective. It integrates with leading document management systems and automatically profiles documents based on analysis of content, thus enabling precision searching. No prior manual review of documents is required and lawyers relate immediately to the easy RealPractice interface.
