Practice Technologies, Inc. announced that SmartRules™ is expanding its procedural research tools to all 50 states, in response to increasing customer demand. The product was launched in California in 2003, and added coverage of New York earlier this year. Due to the success in those markets, the Company launched a major development initiative to provide national coverage by the end of this year. SmartRules™ has been adopted by a host of major national and regional firms, including Latham & Watkins, Seyfarth Shaw, Kirkland & Ellis, Littler Mendelson, Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker, Buchalter Nemer Fields & Younger and Quinn Emanuel, among others.
"There are few things more satisfying than to hear the demand of satisfied customers for more of your product. Our California and New York customers were increasingly doing business in other states, and looked to SmartRules™ for help navigating compliance with procedural and court rules" said Rudolph DeFelice, the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer. "Our customers expressed a need for detailed compliance guidance and centralized access to court rules in their home states and across the country. SmartRules™ fills that need."
Adam Long, Senior Director of Business and Product Development added "We have devoted considerable effort over the past year and a half to creating technology and processes to enable us to rapidly develop SmartRules™, while maintaining our consistently high standards of real-time updating and customer service. Our expansion initiative has been a major success, and we are ahead of schedule. Our customers will find coverage of all 50 states by the end of this month." DeFelice indicated that SmartRules™ will be targeted to lawyers resident in California, New York and Illinois for the next few months. The Company has recently finalized a distribution agreement with a large legal research provider that is expected to greatly expand national distribution thereafter.
SmartRules™ ensures compliance with procedural and court rules when drafting and filing legal documents. Many lawyers regard using SmartRules™ mandatory as a risk management and cost-effectiveness measure. SmartRules™ is available by subscription. More information is available at www.SmartRules.com.
